USA Today Best-selling author
This is a collection of questions I’m usually asked in interviews. I hope you enjoy the answers!

I’ve written and published 60 books (51 for Harlequin and 9 for Kensington).
What was the inspiration for Matchmakers, Inc.?
My inspiration for the series came from my own brush with a reality TV show (TLCs Four Weddings) and my best-friend signing up with a matchmaker. Most of the time my ideas come from things that aren’t so close to my life. Read more.
When will there be more Savage Seven books?
As of right now there are no publishing plans for the rest of the Savage Seven though they live on in my imagination and I hope to release more books about them soon. In the mean time you can catch up with them here. Read more.
What is Miami Nights?
A series I wrote for Harlequin Desire. Its about three brothers who own the most popular nightclub in Miami and the women they fall in love with. Read more.
If you had to pick one character in your books, who would be your favorite? And why?
My favorite Desire heroine is: Gail Little in the upcoming READY FOR HER CLOSE-UP. Gail isn’t someone who just sits on the sidelines waiting for her life to unfold the way she wants it to, she gets out there and makes things happen.
My favorite BRAVA heroine is: Daphne...she's the heroine in this summer's release THE PIRATE. Daphne is divorced and never expected to be. For the first time since she can remember she's all alone for the summer since her teenaged sons are with their dad and Daphne is struggling to figure out who she is if she's not a wife and mother.
My favorite Desire hero is: Alex Cannon from the novella A MOTHER’S DAY MATCH. He knows he can be a little bit geeky sometimes but he’s always knows how to put his woman first.
My favorite BRAVA hero is: I'm going to have to go with JP from THE PIRATE because he's freshest in my mind to be honest I love them all. I try to create heroes who are tough on the outside and able to handle anything that life throws at them and JP is just like that. But he doesn't count on Daphne or falling in love with her in the middle of a crisis!
How long was your road to publication?
Three years and three manuscripts! I started writing in 1993 and sold my first book in March 1996. My first published book THE BACHELOR NEXT DOOR is available now as an ebook. Click here to check it out.
How many books do you have under your writing belt?
I’ve published 57 books (for Harlequin and Kensington books) in the US and worldwide. My 50th title for Harlequin--A CASE OF KISS AND TELL will be out this Summer.
Do you have any advice or writing secrets for aspiring authors?
Yes, keep writing. Don't give up because you hear bad news or that what you love to write is no longer in vogue. And read, you can't write in a vacuum. For more tips check out my On Writing page.
What is your favorite thing about writing romance?
The happy ending. I love how you can take two people who on the surface look like they won't belong together and get to the heart of who they are to find out that they are soul mates.
What are the titles of all the books you’ve published?
